Elsa Archambault
Attorney
Elsa is an established trial attorney who has spent the majority of her career advocating in the courtroom. Prior to forming AGW Law, Elsa worked over ten years as a Colorado State Public Defender, first as a trial attorney and then as a supervising attorney. She has tried over 65 cases to verdict, and also handled post-conviction issues and appeals, including arguing to the Supreme Court of Colorado. Whether a client faces a traffic ticket or a first degree murder charge, Elsa provides the same level of absolute commitment and detailed attention. Elsa is an effective negotiator and a persuasive advocate, whether the target audience is a jury, a judge, or opposing counsel.
Though she primarily practices in criminal law, Elsa also worked at a boutique trial law firm that focused on high-dollar civil litigation. There she developed familiarity with civil actions and revitalized her passion for written advocacy. She left that role because she missed what it is she loves most about practicing law–working directly with her clients. As a result of her diverse experience, Elsa offers a balanced, informed approach to achieving her client’s objectives–whatever those may be. She recognizes that while she knows the law, her clients know themselves, their situations, and their goals better than anyone else. Her guiding principle is to listen first and advise later.
A Colorado native, Elsa quickly returned home after completing her undergraduate degree at Trinity University in San Antonio, Texas. She later received a full-ride scholarship to attend the University of Denver Sturm College of Law and graduated top ten percent in her class. In her free time, Elsa enjoys traveling, road biking, and is particularly excited about sitting on the board of a new non-profit, which will provide scholarships for kids to explore extracurricular programming in which they otherwise would be unable to participate.
