Stephanie is a well-known and respected litigator across the State of Colorado, from the Western Slope to the Eastern Plains. Stephanie is devoted to providing client-centered representation, approaching each case with empathy and compassion. Stephanie understands that being charged with a crime disrupts all aspects of a person’s life and she will fight to obtain the best possible outcome for each and every client.

Stephanie has a strong background in advocacy, litigation and criminal defense, spending 11 years with the Office of the Colorado State Public Defender in both the Grand Junction and Denver Offices. During her time with the Public Defender, Stephanie supervised a team of 8 district court lawyers and two social workers. Stephanie has extensive experience trying the highest level of felonies, including murder, sexual assault, white collar financial crimes and crimes charged under the Colorado Organized Crime Control Act (COCCA).

Stephanie not only helps adult clients achieve positive outcomes, but also represents youth clients charged as adults.  Stephanie understands the importance of ensuring children are treated as children and fighting unfettered prosecutorial discretion.

Stephanie serves as a CJA Panel Attorney in the District of Colorado, representing clients charged with federal crimes. Stephanie also serves on the Colorado Bar Association Criminal Law Section Executive Council.

Stephanie represents clients in western Kansas and accepts criminal appointments in Kansas' 15th Judicial District.

Stephanie is licensed to practice law in Colorado, Kansas and United States District Court for the District of Colorado.
